About the ship

The Hurtigruten ms Kong Harald pays tribute to the king of Norway as well as other famous Norwegians. In addition to the ship itself named for King Harald of Norway, the bar is named for polar pioneer and Nobel Peace Laureate Fridtjof Nansen, while the café is named in honor of explorer Roald Amundsen. As with ms Richard With, ms Kong Harald was launched in 1993 to mark Hurtigruten's centenary. In the ship's interior, passengers can get a close-up look at the decorative details of the King's Crown emblem.
