Go big. Denali National Park and Preserve is big. More than 6 million acres big with not a lot of people. Denali (the former Mount McKinley) is also a mountain reaching 20,000 feet.
With 6 million acres of land, where do you start?
Consider giving this really big national park more than a day of your time. If you want to stay in the area, you or your travel consultant can build in a two- to three-night stay in the area around the park or at one of the wilderness lodges in the park.
Next, plan on getting out into the park. Take excursions, hike, join a ranger talk, and visit the dog sled kennels. Most importantly, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Denali.

It's spring touring season in Alaska. March brings long sunny days and moderate temps perfect for camping out in the snow. It's one of our favorite months in AK. @polartecfabric #polartec #getoutstayout #optoutside #ski #backcountry #skitouring #denalinationalpark #alaska #springbreak #humanpowered

Here's a #flashbackfriday photo of the first #greathornedowl I saw in the wild. In this case, it was in the very wild #DenaliNationalPark. This mother had taken over a nest previously used by another raptor, since GHOs do not build their own nests. Back when I shot this photo, all I had was a Rebel xti and an entry level 75-300. Can't wait to get back to #Alaska with my better gear. #owlsofinstagram #owl #birdsofprey #birdsofinstagram #raptorsofinstagram #canon #teamcanon #audubon #audubonsociety #wildlife #wildlifephotography #raptors_only #exclusive_wildlife #naturelovers #nature_sultans #your_best_birds #wildlifephotographic #pocket_birds #animalelite #photoarena_nature #nature_brilliance #IheartOP
