American Constitution

The 175-passenger river ship American Constitution from American Cruise Lines debuted in spring 2018 with a patriotic theme and American Revolution cruises. She's a twin sister of American Constellation, which launched in May 2017 with similar itineraries in the Northeast and Southeast. 

American Constitution was designed to navigate the inland waterways of the East Coast. The ship features modern décor and amenities, modern technologies, the largest staterooms in the industry for its class, and private balconies in every room that offer spectacular views of the passing landscapes.

American Constitution brings guests to beautiful coastal and river ports the larger ships can't access. In the intimate atmosphere on board, passengers will find spacious lounges, observation decks and well-lit, spacious dining venues for inside and outside dining. 

Who will like sailing on American Constitution

This intimate, made-in-the-USA coastal cruise ship appeals to a generally older, low-key crowd who bask in the red, white and blue and who enjoy sightseeing and guided tours of small harbors and historic sites in an unhurried atmosphere.

Where American Constitution sails

With an "American Revolution Cruise" theme, the ship offers round-trip sailings from Washington, DC,  focusing on the Chesapeake Bay region. In June the ship heads to Boston for more historical sightseeing. From late September to late October, it'll take in fall foliage along the Hudson River. From October to December, it returns to the Chesapeake Bay for several sailings. (Note: American Cruise Line has a glitch in its "feed" that shows the ship also sailing in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Not so.)
