MS Farah: Luxury river cruising on the Nile

MS Farah is one of the elite ships on the Nile, allowing you to explore the treasures of the pharaohs and the wonders of the ancient world in five-star elegance and luxury.

In Arabic, Farah means happiness and joy. And this Avalon Waterways vessel comes through, allowing travelers to experience the local culture as well as the onboard amenities, ranging from handmade Egyptian cotton sheets to natural dark wood furniture.

Avalon's Nile River cruise aboard the MS Farah carries you into the exotic world of pharaohs, explorers and legends while introducing you to locals who share the traditions of generations. Relax with onboard features, including spa services, Wi-Fi, gourmet dining and an attentive crew that creates an exceptional experience in comfort and service.

Avalon optimized the ship's layout to provide the best views of the passing landscapes and it designed the interiors to ensure an upscale experience reflected in the hand-polished Mediterranean stone floors, the spacious triple-height foyer and the shiny black glass reception desk. 

Where MS Farah sails

The ship offers itineraries from Aswan every Friday for 4 days and 3 nights and from Luxor every Monday for 5 days and 4 nights. At other times of the year, Avalon offers packages featuring a 7-night Nile cruise round-trip from Cairo, plus 1 night in Luxor, 3 nights in Cairo and a post-stay in Giza, with charter flights within Egypt.

Dining 

MS Farah features a large, lavish restaurant with carefully prepared meals. Both breakfast and lunch are offered in an open buffet, and dinner is a la carte except for one night when an Egyptian buffet is featured. Vegetarians meal choices are always accommodated.

Lounge bar

After a long day of sightseeing and exploration, it's time to sit back and relax while sipping on a favorite drink. The ship's lounge bar lets you mingle over cocktails, dance to oriental beats, watch the slow of the night or simply feast your eyes on breathtaking views of the Nile.

Accommodations

MS Farah offers 56 deluxe cabins and two Royal Suites that feature style and comfort with oversized French balconies that are virtually wall-sized. All cabins and suites are equipped with an LCD TV, mini-bar, private safe box, Internet connection (you'll want to share photos of your experiences), a private bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer, and individual controls for the central air conditioner. A smoke detector system panel and sprinkler are provided in all cabins.
