Seven Seas Explorer: Luxury at sea reaches new heights
Snapshot
The 738-passenger, ultra-swank Seven Seas Explorer debuted in July 2016 as the first new ship from Regent Seven Seas Cruises in some time. The cruise line promised "the most luxurious ship ever built," and Explorer delivers. The all-suite, all-balcony ship offers guests all-inclusive luxury at sea. She features three specialty restaurants, including Chartreuse, a French-inspired dining venue, and the line's first culinary centre, the Culinary Arts Kitchen, which is designed to mirror the world-renowned cooking schools of France.

Dining
Pacific Rim
Celebrating the culinary traditions of Asia, Pacific Rim delights guests with the perfect balance of delicious flavors and Zen-like ambiance. During dinner, guests are treated to incredible ocean views through windows designed in an abstract lotus shape, a universal Asian motif. To complement the décor, Pacific Rim’s chefs created a delectable menu of Pan-Asian creations with dishes such as grilled Korean barbecue lamb chops, wok-fried beans, eryngii mushroom and gochujang dressing.
Chartreuse
Featuring a classic French menu with a modern twist, Chartreuse evokes memories of a chic Parisian, fine-dining restaurant, with incredible ocean views. The restaurant ambiance is complemented by a menu that features dishes expertly prepared using both classic and modern techniques for a multiple-course celebration of French gastronomy.
Prime 7
Decorated with glass, metal and granite, Prime 7 exudes the feel of an iconic members-only club. Enjoy a cocktail at the bar before being taken to your personal banquette. And after savoring a succulent filet mignon or a côte de boeuf, delight in a digestif and a lively conversation with fellow guests in the comfort of supple leather wing-back chairs.
La Veranda
Spacious and comfortably casual, La Veranda offers regional specialties — such as grilled lamb chops with Spanish sherry sauce or pan-sautéed Mediterranean Sea bass — that often reflect the cuisines of the countries being visited. Dishes are presented in a buffet style that displays the diversity of the menu. La Veranda also features an authentic pizzeria and a shaded, open-air veranda for dining al fresco.
Sette Mari at La Veranda
In the evenings, La Veranda transforms into the warm and inviting Sette Mari at La Veranda, where tables are candlelit to match the star-filled skies. The menu also transforms into a journey of alluring antipasto, homemade pastas, main courses and desserts from all over Italy.
The Café
Visit The Café on deck 5 mid-ship to enjoy complimentary coffee drinks prepared by baristas as well as delicious pastries, gourmet sandwiches and homemade cookies. Additionally, international newspapers and news magazines are available.
Compass Rose
The flagship restaurant of the Seven Seas fleet, Compass Rose is outfitted with rich woods contrasted by light marble stones and mother of pearl shimmering brightly with an elegant color theme of light shades of blue, white, gold and silver. This is an ideal setting for you to enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner, where the menu features an exceptional variety of Continental cuisine.
Pool Grill
Located just steps from the swimming pool on deck 11, the Pool Grill welcomes casual diners. Its laid-back ambiance invites guests to come directly from lounging in the sun or for a quick meal between shore excursions.
Activities
Culinary Arts Kitchen
At the Culinary Arts Kitchen you'll learn how to prepare a variety of dishes in a welcoming environment reminiscent of a prestigious cooking school in France in both layout and design. Eighteen individual cooking stations sit atop three long curved rows with white quartzite countertops and stainless steel accents, belaying the complex and richly flavored foods guests prepare during the classes. Plus, the new Gourmet Explorer Tours ashore transforms passengers' culinary experiences into a delightful adventure.
Card Room
The Card Room is an inviting and tranquil oasis, where passengers can gather their favorite teammates for a quiet afternoon or evening of board games. The Card Room is steps away from the Pool Deck on deck 11 forward.
Library
Well-stocked and exceedingly comfortable, the Library offers a calm setting for reading and relaxing. Enrich your mind with a vast collection of volumes ranging from destination-specific guidebooks to best-selling mysteries to classic literature. The Library is conveniently located across the Card Room on deck 11 forward.
Pool Deck
Lounge the day away under the warm sun and an unforgettable vista on the Pool Deck (deck 11). Outfitted in teak accents, the Pool Deck features a lavish pool and two whirlpools. Amiable and dedicated crew members are readily standing by to bring you a refreshing beverage, a plush towel or to clean your sunglasses while you bask in the sun and relax on your comfortable lounge chair.
Entertainment
Meridian Lounge
Located on deck 5 mid-ship, the Meridian Lounge boasts an expansive bar and relaxed armchairs. This space is an ideal location to gather for a cocktail, especially after one of the many exciting performances at the Constellation Theater. Your entertainment-rich evening continues with virtuoso performances by resident musicians.
Casino
When you are in the gaming mood, delight in the exciting offerings inside the Monte Carlo-style casino. The Casino is located on deck 4, and is open every day at sea when not restricted by territorial border limits. Glass doorways lead the way to table games that include Blackjack, roulette, stud poker, mini-craps and slot machines.
Connoisseur Club
Located on deck 11 forward, the Connoisseur Club is an ideal venue to enjoy a fine cigar or imbibe on your favorite libation while enjoying spirited conversation with newfound friends. This elegant hideaway provides comfortable leather armchairs and a club-like atmosphere.
Constellation Theater
Located on decks 5 and 6 forward, the Constellation Theater is perfectly tiered for unobstructed viewing. This venue pays homage to ornate show palaces of Hollywood’s golden age with a subtle swan motif woven into the seating banquettes, ceiling architecture and an intricate entryway mosaic. Table-top Murano glass lamps provide a soft, warm glow for guests sitting in the comfortable cabaret-style seats.
Explorer Lounge
Located on deck 4 mid-ship, the Explorer Lounge’s rich mahogany wood columns, heavy leather chairs and deep blue fabrics set the tone for the start of your evening. Resident musicians entertain with familiar tunes and special requests from an intimate stage arched with a golden proscenium.
Observation Lounge
Located on deck 11 forward, the Observation Lounge features musicians who entertain daily. It is the perfect spot for unwinding from afternoon tea time to pre-dinner cocktails to a nightcap.
Staterooms
All staterooms on Seven Seas Explorer are suites, ranging from 300 to nearly 4,000 square feet. Each room comes with a private, furnished balcony. Marble appointments accent the bath, featuring a tub or walk-in shower. A sitting area provides room to stretch out and watch a movie, read a best seller or enjoy the ever-changing vistas.
All suites feature a European king-size bed or twin beds with luxurious European linens and duvet. They also come with a spacious walk-in closet, complimentary mini-bar, interactive flat-screen TV, plush bathrobes and slippers, L'Occitane soaps, shampoos and lotions, and a complimentary bottle of champagne. All guests also can order 24-hour room service with dinner served course by course.
Guests in Concierge Suites also receive a free one-night pre-cruise luxury hotel package, priority online shore excursion reservations, priority dining reservations, free Wi-Fi and more. Guests in Penthouse Suites receive all the above plus free round-trip business class air, a personal butler, complimentary use of an iPad and more.
For big spenders, Regent introduced a new luxury suite category just for Explorer, the Regent Suite. It's a two-bedroom, 3,875-square-foot suite that includes an in-room spa retreat and sauna, private car with driver and guide at every port, first class air travel, and private sedan transfers to and from the airport.
