Star Clipper: Rich heritage meets modern comfort

Star Clipper is a true clipper ship, reflecting its proud heritage in every inch of its polished brass. Star Clippers' unique vessel offers passengers a "new age of sail," where tradition meets present-day amenities. At 360 feet long, this ship carries 170 guests and aims to provide a yacht-like experience.

Star Clipper also touts spacious accommodations and two swimming pools. Passengers will likely find that this ship offers more outdoor space per passenger than a  conventional cruise ship.

Who will like sailing on Star Clipper

Star Clipper is a modern cruise ship created for adventure-loving passengers who also love the traditions of the legendary era of sailing ships and who like exploring exotic ports of call that larger ships can't access.

Where Star Clipper sails

Star Clipper features voyages throughout the Mediterranean, including Lisbon, Athens, Venice and Malta. In fall and winter it offers itineraries throughout the Caribbean. It also makes port stops farther afield such as Thailand, Istanbul, Tunisia and the Canary Islands.

Dining & décor

All Star Clippers ships feature open-seating for meals in an elegant dining room. Passengers can also enjoy the indoor/outdoor Tropical Bar as well as the Piano Bar and an Edwardian-style library, complete with a fireplace. 

The décor of Star Clipper is reminiscent of the grand age of sail. Passengers will be surrounded by rich, deep colors and antique prints and paintings of famous sailing ships line the walls.

Cabins

Some cabins on the Star Clipper open onto the deck, and most only vary slightly in size and layout. The biggest distinguishing factor between categories is location on the ship. The higher the cabin category, the higher or more central they might be located on board.

All accommodations feature a private bath and include a TV and DVD player, a phone, thermostat control, a private safe, hair dryer, 110-volt/American outlets and nightly turndown service.
