Once the capitol of Santa Lucia, it now is better know for tourism, include the Diamond Estate (also known as the Soufriere Estate), an old colonial estate that is home to a botanical garden, sulphur baths and Diamond Falls. Beaches can be lovely, but hard to reach due to underdeveloped roads, so try Anse de Sables which is a beautiful but windy, white sandy beach looking out over the Maria Islands. This is one of the most popular places for wind surfing, as there are constant on shore trade winds.
