People are always asking what are the closest and best hotels near Los Angeles Airport. If you're flying there to catch a ship out of Long Beach or Port of LA,  or flying from LAX to your port of embarkation and want a breather, the HyattRegency at LAX can't be beat. Why? Because it's a chic, but homey place that feels nothing like an airport hotel even though it's a quick 5 minute or less drive by free shuttle to the terminals. It's also a good place to overnight if you have to go to LAX for a TSA interview as Richard had to do since he forgot to renew the handy pass through security without taking  your shoes off etc. and had to go through an interview all over again. The unityLA restaurant serves unbeatable food at dinner. There's a large heated pool.  Fitness room to get the blood flowing after long flights, free WiFi and more.  Look at the photos from a recent overnight visit.  Check it out at https://losangelesairport.regency.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html Book the Regency Club lounge for more bang for your buck (free food and cheap drinks).
